雖說鑽石是世界上最堅硬的物質，而彩鑽也可譬喻為鑽石之王，然而有一種極為稀少特殊的物質卻是世界上最珍貴的物資之一，「沈香」。

It is widely known that diamonds are the hardest object in the world, and colored one tops all as ‘king of diamond’. However, there is one kind of substance which is extremely rare and also considered one of the most valuable resource—agarwood.

「沈香」是植物界的鑽石，也是地球上最珍貴的物資，距今已有兩千多年的歷史，從西方的天主教，基督教到東方的回教、佛教，無一不跟沉香結下深刻的緣分。回溯到人類開始有宗教信仰等行為時，沉香就已經成為許多人修行或成道時必備的聖物之一。

Agarwood, which started its formation more than two thousand years ago, is viewed as crown jewels among all plant species, and also the most precious creation on Earth. It has long been closely connected to various world religions, from Catholic of the West to Islam and Buddhism of the East. Looking back to the beginning of human religious believes, it had been found as one of the necessary sacred objects that a practitioner should carry during making religious practice.

從古代的書籍來尋找沉香的蹤跡，許多典籍都記載著使用沉香後的特殊感受，據說能夠接觸進而“收藏與使用”沉香的人「非富即貴」，何謂有此一說從靈性面來談，沉香可與收藏者產生靈性的互動。心愈沉靜安定愈能得其道，所以無價。從物質面來分析，千年沈香目前在市面上已經是稀少到用錢也買不到，頂級沈香更是一克高達5萬人民幣起跳，更何況是品質極高的「全沉沉香」，所以在投資面的價值是目前市面上漲幅最高的收藏品之一。

Functions of agarwood’s aroma can be found in many ancient books, in which recorded the special feelings when people used it. It is said that those who can have access to agarwood have been the rich or the noble. The reason could be explained from two aspects: first, it could facilitate a kind of spiritual interaction with users, so those who are able to easily find inner peace could better know how to appreciate it. In this regard, it is priceless. Second, millennium agarwood is now so scarce that one can hardly purchase on the market even if having money. The price of premium one starts from 50,000 RMB per gram, let alone the highest-grade one. Therefore, it becomes the top investment target in terms of its value increase.
